Conquer the Slopes of Vermont

Smugglers Notch

Biased opinion but everyone agrees - Smuggs is the best.  Rated the number 1 East Coast Mountain by Ski Magazine for the past 5 years.  Not to mention it is 5 minutes away!

Jay Peak

Jay Peak resort is approximately 50 minutes from the house.  It is a great resort with an indoor water park, high speed lifts, and is the only mountain in Vermont with a Tram.

Sugarbush

Sugarbush is a member of the Ikon pass and is a little over an hour drive from the house.

Stowe

Stowe is actually walking distance from the top of the Sterling Lift at Smuggs.  It is only a 15 minute hike to Spruce Peak, the trail (Long Trail) is mostly unmarked in the winter but with some prior research it is very easy to find.  If driving, Stowe is about 50 minutes away in the winter.  Stowe is also owned by Vail and is part of the Epic Pass.

Bolton Valley

Bolton is a special place.  It is independently owned like Smuggs and is one of the only mountains in Vermont with Night Skiing.  It is also one of the only westward facing mountains making for stunning sunsets over the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain.  53 minute drive to Bolton.

The Backyard

No one owns the snow and the state of Vermont is 80% forest.  Instead of paying for a lift ticket, you can always make your own fun and have a free adventure.  A good example of this is Spencer, performing a tuck knee indy grab in our backyard.
